About Me 

Oh, hello! 

By now, you know I'm Amanda. What you don't know is that I have over a decade of writing experience, with my experiences spanning agency and corporate roles, internal and external comms, brand strategy and digital marketing, and more. I'm a great storyteller  which also means I'm great at digging into the data and strategy behind my words. Pivot tables, beware.

Currently, I support brand content strategy at Salesforce. My writing and content strategies have also supported Delta Airlines, Chick-fil-A, Orkin Pest Control, SCANA Energy, the U.S. Department of State, and more. 

​

Some other semi-interesting things about me: I'm a rock climber, lived in Malaysia, excel at sarcasm, and believe deeply in em dashes and Oxford commas.

No, I did not go to Wharton. Yes, I thrived in the College of Arts & Sciences, building my creative writing community at the Kelly Writers House, working in local West Philly schools, and writing a middle grade fiction novel for my honors thesis. Not shockingly, it was about a girl who grew up in a pillow factory.

Manager, Employer Brand Content Strategy

May 2023 - Present 

  • Build and scale Salesforce’s employer brand, leading brand content on all external-facing channels, including careers website (careers.salesforce.com), social media, automated marketing emails, industry events, and more

  • Lead editorial strategy for careers blog, including developing editorial calendar, managing team of writers, and serving as final copyeditor for Salesforce voice and tone – leading to +22% MoM increase in career site traffic since joining team

  • Segment messaging based on audience insights and needs; for instance, currently leading campaign focused on Tech & Product recruiting for AI engineers

Manager, Internal Communications (Culture & Employee Lifecycle)

  • Write and lead team responsible for daily internal communications sent to 80,000+ person audience with 74% open rate; developed unique tone

  • Spearheaded content marketing strategy, execution, and optimization for B2B and B2C clients, including Chick-fil-A, SCANA Energy, and Orkin Pest Control, leading to 106% YoY increase in social engagement and 59% YoY increase in blog traffic

  • Crafted messaging for integrated, full-funnel customer journeys, with a 15% increase in YoY digital acquisitions and $32 decrease in cost-per-acquisition for utility client

  • Former intern re-hired as contract employee to support copyediting, fact-checking, and research support for Atlanta magazine's ancillary publication

U.S. Department of State

  • Responsible for co-teaching English at rural, low-income secondary school in Malaysia

  • Created, coordinated, and launched the first U.S. Embassy-sponsored nationwide creative writing competition in Malaysia, involving grant proposals, budgeting, and fundraising initiatives with school systems and government

  • Taught English speaking workshops for 300 students; planned, budgeted and facilitated district-wide English camps; created writing and education workshops across the community
